ORL Redemptive Lab

pursuing work as redemptive action in the world

Amelia Island February 11-13, 2024

A select circle of venture builders. You all are curious, open hearted, creative, driven, hopeful, integrators and visionaries.

Still, creativity is a group activity

Work takes creativity, and creativity works best with a crew. For the work of imaging and enacting the redemptive potential of our ventures, we’ll work as a crew. To get that crew started you all gave us a bit of information we’ve assembled below. Of course this was top-of-mind thought about where you could push toward redemptive action in work, we’re not holding anyone’s feet to the fire with this. It’s a good place to start.

About you

Each founder will share an informal personal narrative on the first night with your peers and the Labs team.

This is simply a time to share a condensed version of your life story or a major life inflection point with your peers. It should focus more on your off-the-record story and what God has done in your life rather than your accomplishments, bio, or venture story (you’ll have time to share your venture story on Day 2).

We ask that you spend some time thinking about it in advance just to be considerate of time — decks are not needed: we just want to hear from you.

About your venture

On Day 2 of the Lab, each founder will share a 4-minute Venture Pitch. You’ll need to submit this in advance to keep the flow of the event smooth (we put all presentations into a Master Deck to avoid technical issues). The pitch is not about raising capital so much as it’s about sharing the story of your venture (the why, what, and how), its redemptive opportunity, and ways that the mentors and your peers can help you.

Review pitch guidelines here.

Final Decks are due EOD on Monday, February 5; send to orlandoredemptivelab@gmail.com.

Submit decks as a PDF file, in 16:9 Widescreen format.

Talk is to be 4 minutes max (you will be timed/presentation ended right at 4 minutes).
